Shell Protocol differs from decentralized exchanges (DEXs) and aggregators by providing a framework for composing any DeFi protocol in one atomic transaction. While DEXs allow token swaps using their own pools, and aggregators optimize trade routes across multiple pools, Shell standardizes integrations between these pools, simplifying the building process for aggregators. Moreover, Shell extends beyond token swaps, facilitating a wide range of DeFi actions, including liquidity provision, lending, borrowing, and NFT transactions.
